International Transfers/wiring

Here's what you need to know about wire transfers:

• To send a wire transfer, simply have the recipient's account and destination bank information Recipient's Account Here's the recipient's account information you'll need for an online money transfer: Domestic Wires
  • The name of the person to whom you're wiring funds (the "beneficiary")
  • The name and location of the beneficiary's bank
  • The ABA number of their bank (if you don't know it, don't worry; we provide a searchable list of ABA numbers)
  • The beneficiary's account number
  International Wires
  • The name of the person to whom you're wiring funds ("the beneficiary")
  • The name and location of the beneficiary's bank
  • The beneficiary's account number
  • The Bic Code or SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) and the CHIPS UID# (Clearing House Interbank Payment System)
  available.
• Wires are generally sent the same business day if processed before 5:15 PM ET for international transfers and 6:00 PM ET for domestic transfers.
• Wire transfers can be a one-time event or you can set up domestic recurring wires in advance. You can also save and reuse wire information and see all past and future wires.
