To manually reset a Cisco Catalyst 4948 switch, you can follow these steps:
Locate the reset button on the front panel of the switch. It is a small recessed button.
Use a pointed object like a paperclip or a pen to press and hold the reset button.
While holding the reset button, power on the switch by plugging in the power cable.
Continue to hold the reset button for about 5 to 10 seconds until the System LED starts flashing.
Release the reset button. The switch will restart and perform a factory reset.
Please note that performing a factory reset will erase all configuration settings on the switch, including VLAN configurations, interface settings, and security settings. It will restore the switch to its default settings. Make sure to backup your configuration if you need to preserve any important settings before proceeding with the reset.
