Flashing Cal On Dashboard

I have the letters CAL in all capitals (with the C on the top,the A below that and the L below that) flashing on the left side of the dashboard where it tells you the temperature, direction and radio station. Does anyone know what this means since we don't have the car manual because we bought the car used? Thanks so much
