Equinox Will Not Start, Security Light On, Key Stuck In Ignition

Son tried to hotwire the vehicle based on youtube video.  Didn't work but now:  key stuck in ignition, key will not turn all the way off, car does  not start or even turn over, security telltale light always on on dashboard when key is turned to on.  Tried the relearn procedure but the security light does not go off after 10 minutes.
