2008 Impala Ss Fuel Filter

I have a 2008 Chevy Impala SS.  It has about 103K miles on it.  A few weeks ago it started "sputtering" while being driven.  New spark plugs and air filter are in.  It was suggested to replace the fuel filter.  I don't see anything about a fuel filter in the 400 page owners manual.  Anybody have some news for me on this? Thanks!
