Egr Valve

Where is the EGR Valve located on a 2004 Tahoo, 5.3 L V8? The systems are, occassionally it will not start without being jumped. Once started it will not run in idle position. In order to keep it running the foot must be kept on the accelerator keeping the RPM's up. Let off the gas pedal and engine dies.
