does a 2002 chevy tracker have a drain plug on an automatic transmission

The only place where there could be a drain plug is on the transmission pan. Check under the vehicle and see if the pan has a plug. 

Just make sure it's the transmission pan and not the oil pan. The transmission pan is usually behind the oil pan. Transmission pans have fins, grooves or slots on them to help cool the tranny. Oil pans are almost always smooth.

Greetings, 

Here is what you have asked for, going off the info provided.

The Transmission Drain Plug, is located, on the bottom of the Transmission Fluid Pan. Towards the rear of the transmission, before the ouput shaft. There is a recess all around this Drain Plug, for added strength. 

 

Note>> Service Manual only calls for 13 Ft. Lb. (foot pounds) DO NOT give more. if ya do, you will be in trouble then, believe me!!!

as for as the atttached photo, This right out of the service manual. what you are looking for, is # 1, that is the drain plug
