Low Fuel Eficiency

I'm having problems wit a used 1999 4x4 4 door chevy blazer I bought recently, gas fuel eficiency is way to low... about 12.6 miles / Gal... I beliebe it has to do with umproper spark plug calibration.... what's the recomended gap for the sparkplugs of a Vortek 4.3lt engine???
