Chevvy Astro Dutch Door Locks

I have a 1999 Chevvy Asto (Dayvan) with dutch doors. The hatch door does not lock. If you set the central locking to locked and press the external button on the tailgate it opens. An auto electrician suggested that it was the actuator. Managed to source one from the states and fitted it. this does not solve the problem. I have cut the red wire to the actuator and as a test installed a single pole switch. This does work. Also if you disconnect the wiring loom to the actuator this keeps the door locked. I am thinking of installing a five terminal relay in this line to act as an automatic switch. However, I do not have a wiring diagram to identify what colour wire has to be connected to the NC terminal. Any ideas? Any assistance would most appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards, Webbo
