The heater blower motor is usually located in the engine compartment on the passenger side firewall. Easy to replace. Just connected with three nuts or bolts and a wiring harness that unplugs.

Here's what your blower motor looks like:

I have a 96 lumina ls with a 3.1.  My blower motor is near the firewall above the passenger floorboard.  It is accessed from above the floorboard on the passenger side near the back.  Almost behind the glove box but it's not very high up.  Mine is clicking when I turn the heater on, but it is too big of a job taking everything out under the passenger dash to get to it for it to be worth it to me right now.  Especially with all the time spent on other problems such as leaky gaskets.

Before replacing the motor check if it just needs oiled. I oiled mine first to see if that was the problem. It was. didn't need to replace it.
