I reserved a car in Costa Rica from Economy car rental through Cheap Tickets. The reservation was made 1/14/14 for 2/8/14 through 2/15/14. The price was $159.91. our plane arrived at 11:30 PM and I was assured by Economy that their counter would be open. it was not. After 3 hours on the phone next day with Economy we were forwarded to Hertz who promised to rent us the same car for $300. When we went to pick up the car Hertz advised they had no cars without a 48 hour reservation. we were lucky enough to rent a car from Budget; however the cost was $635. I think Cheap Tickets should provide me with a $500 coupon for another rental since the companies you represent do not honor commitments made by you.
