How Do You Wire A Ethernet Wall Plate?

I'm getting high speed internet service soon for my home. There is no phone jack for the modem/router to plug into. How do I wire Ethernet wall plate to cat5e cable?

If you're getting DSL then you will NEED a landline phone connection in your house (you don't need service on it). If you don't then you'll need to have it installed. Installing an ethernet wall plate isn't going to do anything for you.

If you're getting cable or fiber optic internet then you won't need a phone line.
