How Can I Reset Code 5b00 On A Pixma Mx882

It's an error code that the ink absorber is full. We've emptied the ink absorber, just need to reset the code. Any help you could provide is appreciated. Canon says we need to take to a service center, but I don't believe it needs to be that complicated.
