Canon Pixma Mx882 Won't Power On

Is there some type of reset procedure to use if a Canon Pixma MX882 will not power on by pushing the ON button?

Obviously, there is no power supply going into your Canon PIXMA MX882 printer. The first thing you have to do is to check the power cable if it is properly connected into your printer and plugged into the power outlet. You may be required to change the power cable. Compatible power cables for this device can be purchased at Amazon.com. Here's the link to the products page.
