1. Were you able to print before without any issues?
Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON button does not shut off the printer.
2. Have you made any recent changes on the system?
Error 5C20 means the logic board is faulty, most likely because it can't move the rollers and carriage.
You may try to reset the device when it is not functioning properly. If the device is not functioning properly or to clear memory, reset it. a. On the operator panel, press the <ON> button. (The display will go blank.)Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON button does not shut off the printer.
b. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the <ON> button again.
c. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.
Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord and retry if the above steps do not clear the error.
