Can You Use Any Other Ink Cartridges From Another Manufacturer?

No. Your Canon PIXMA MX512 is only compatible with original ink cartridges of Canon. You cannot use an HP or any other brand of ink cartridges for this printer. Replacement ink cartridges for this printer can be purchased from the following links.
