How Do I Get My Canon Mp530 Scanner To Work With Mac Os 10.9.5?

I just got a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.5. I own an MP 530 and have been able to add it to my printer cue, but now need to scan something and don't know how to add that capability to my new mac. I tried to use the dvd that came with the printer but got a message that it is no longer supported. Can you direct me to a free driver download that will allow me to use the scan function with my new OS?
