How To Reset Ink Absorber Counter On A Canon Mx420 Printer
When I first power on my Canon MX420 printer, I get a message warning me that the ink absorbers are almost full. I push the "OK" button and now I can use the printer. How do I reset the counter so that I don't continue to get this message? I tried holding down the "resume" button while holding down the "power" button, then releasing the "resume" button and then pressing the "resume" button twice while still holding the "power" button down, then releasing the "power" button and pressing the "resume" button four times and straight away powering off the printer.This did not work, no matter how often I tried it. The message appears as soon as I release the "power" button, which negates the four presses of the " resume" button.Any ideas?Thanking you in advance,Terry German

Make sure that the machine is turned on. Press the Setup button. Select Device settings, then press the OK button. button to select Reset settings, then press the OK button.
