Canon Mf4350d Energy Saving Key Not Working

Printer will not go into sleep mode. I tried opening /closing the paper tray and that worked once. now it just stays on 24/7 fi i presss the energy saver key it beeps 3 times and thats all.

If there are any pages in the manual input bin, printer will not enter energy saver mode. Remove paper from manual/top bin.
