Phone Line Working But Fax Will Not Transmit Or Receive

It is the site at Canon for your device. If you can offer any information as what you have tried we could help with that. Normally to not be able to send or receive fax's is due to configuration rather than a fault condition. There is not a logical reason why the machine does not function correctly if the phone line is OK. Are you dialling out first before sending the fax or are they to a number set in memory? Has the original document been installed in the feed tray or does the fax answer but not receive data? These are answers one needs to be able to diagnose where the problem is occurring. If the Canon site does not offer a solution please raise another question with as much information as you can.

Why is my Canon fax machine not receiving faxes?
Check the receive mode setting and make sure it's set to the correct one for your connection. Go to Fax Settings > Security Control, and make sure FAX RX Reject is set to Off. If you select Reject for any items in Caller rejection in Security control under Fax settings, the machine rejects those items
