Problems With Battery
I have just bought a second hand Cannon EOS 40D, it has a meike battery pack and with this connected works well but when i disconnect the battery pack and fit 1 battery into the camera battery compartment nothing happens. Is the a switch i have to put on or am i doing something wrong, help me please. Regards Steve.

If you are replacing the battery pack with another then it may need charging before use. You should not need to change anything. The battery pack is a lithium iron so requires the correct battery as a replacement. Normal alkaline batteries or Nicads are not advisable even if you could fit them.
