A Vertical Black Line Appears On Copy Or Fax When I Use The Adf.

Hi. The mirrors or scan lamp inside must need cleaning.

As an ex Canon copier tech I can tell you this is a common problem. When scanning of the glass (manually placed document) the scanner moves to read the document. When using the ADF the scanner remains stationary and the document moves across the narrow glass reading the doc. If there is a small spot of dirt on the narrow glass it will show up as a line on the document and from experience it can be hard to see, so give the narrow glass a good clean.fjlx
