Why Did My Vehicle Stall On Me At The Traffic Light Two Times But On Separate Da

My vehicle has 123,000 on it and it stalled on me at the light . I pulled to the side of road for about 20 minutes . I started my vehicle and proceeded home. The next day it happen again at the light and repeated the same procees. I am not 100% sure but I believe I have been smelling a smart odor of gas in my vehicle but not sure if it is my vehicle..What could it be?
