Oil Pressure Sensor

I am not a mechanic kind of guy. But I was bother by my dash when it was saying stop engine low oil pressure. So I put a oil pressure sensor on my self. Let me say this. I would continue to drive even when it said that . And it's been bout 6 months. Seemed it didn't hurt it so I wasn't worried about it. But not since I changed it ... my car will not start. It cranks and that's it. What are something I can look into to fix this?

What does it mean when it says stop engine oil pressure low?

The low oil pressure light is a warning that there's not enough oil pressure or that the oil level is too low. This prevents the oil from going through the narrow passages to provide sufficient lubrication. Lack of lubrication can cause the engine to seize up or cause damage beyond repair.
