Type Of Engine

How do you de termine thet ype of engine in a 2009 Buick Lucerne,  1 3.9L SFI OHV or M 3.9L SFI FLEX FUEL?  Thank you. Florian

Check your gas cap and the back side of the gas cap door. A flex fuel vehicle will usually have a yellow gas cap. The back side of the gas cap door should also have a sticker on it showing that it is a flex fuel vehicle. It should have E85 on it, which means ethanol (I think).

Here's what the gas cap and sticker look like that designates it as a flex fuel vehicle:
