Follow the instructions below if you are experiencing problems with your machine not picking up the bobbin thread

1. Turn the machine off.

2. Check the upper thread.

- Check to see if your upper tension is too tight. Standard tension setting is 4.

- Your thread could be caught on something between the needle and your spool of thread if so, your thread will be too tight for the needle to pick up the bobbin thread.

- Make sure that the upper thread is threaded properly.

- Re-thread your machine, if necessary.

3. Check the needle.

- Make sure the needle in your machine is the correct needle 130/705 size 11-16.

- Make sure that the needle is not bent/blunt or damaged in anyway.

- Make sure that the needle has been installed correctly. The flat side of the needle should be facing toward the back of the machine.

- Make sure that you have threaded the needle eye from the front to back.

- Replace needle if necessary.

4. Check that you are using the correct combination of fabric, thread and needle.

5. Check for scratches around the hole in the needle plate or presser foot.

6. Check your bobbin area.

- Make sure the bobbin is wound evenly and has been inserted into your machine properly.

- Check for scratches on the bobbin case.

- Make sure that the bobbin thread is pulled completely under the pretension, to assure that the bobbin is wound evenly.

- Make sure you are using the correct bobbin in the machine.
