Designs From Laptop To Sewing Machine.

How do I link up with downloaded designs from my laptop to my computerized sewing machine Brother SQ9050.  Do I need a USB cable or stick? (My old computerized Singer had a USB Cable). My new Brother SQ9050 does not.
