Brother International Hl-3170cdw Waste Toner Replace Message

Replaced water toner box with a new Brother waste toner box. Still receiving message to replace the waste toner box. Cleaned the contact points on the box and on the printer. Any suggestions as to what would cause this message?

This means a new cartridge was installed and the Replace Toner message cleared. Then, after printing some pages, Replace Toner re-appeared on the display.
