My Brother Laser Hl-2270dw Won't Come Out Of Sleep Mode. Please Help!

My printer goes into sleep mode and will not come back out. Sometimes it even freezes the computer up completely. Sometimes it helps to reboot the computer and sometimes I have to turn the printer off and on, and sometimes I have to actually unplug the printer. What is causing this and how can I fix it???
