Bose Wave And Bluetooth Adapter

Currently I have a Bose Wave with a three disc cd. I would like to get the Bluetooth adapter for the wave. The salesman said that once the Bluetooth adapter is plugged in I cannot unplug it and reattach the CD playeR. He said that I would have to get disks from customer support and the entire process is a hassle. I would think it is a matter of just unplugging one and plugging in the other into the bose link. Any thoughts
