Blackberry Torch Navigation Pane Problem

the navigation pane on my new bb torch has disappeared and it keeps showing a message at the top with an icon but when i open it there is nothing! this is the second handset in one week and both had the same problemsab where do i find tech support for bb? cant find it on their pathetic site without needinga 'partner code' which i dont have.
