Repair Of B&d Lh4500 Leafhog Blower Vac
My B&D electric leaf hog (LH4500) worked fine when I put it away. The next time I tried to use it, nothing happens. The blade manually spins, so there is not a blockage preventing it from running. Can you suggest some troubleshooting tips? Perhaps a faultyswitch or?

I would suspect maybe a corroded connection inside the unit due to to winter storage conditions. I would suggest if you have a multimeter you can diagnose the issue yourself.
If you remove the side cover and verify the connection from the switch to the mains plug and see if that is where the problem lies with the meter using the ohms range. If the cable checks out then the switch can be tested by operation and using the meter on the ohms range. After that then the motor can be verified but that could be the brushes which are replaceable but if the motor windings have failed it will require a replacement motor. This is the normal procedure to diagnose problems and you will find usually it will be the first or second.
