Connecting 1500d Subwoofer To Amp And Passive Full Range Speakers

Hello,I am a relative novice with sound. I purchased the 1500D subwoofer to mic up the kick drum and Floor Tom in my sons band. My setup is dual amp . One amp runs the monitors and the other feeds the front of house . If I feed a full range signal to the the 1500D will it cut out the high end and only output the bass.It is probably a silly question. SorryRick
