Referral Credit Card

A friend has sent a referral for me to receive your Alaska Airlines credit card. It has been several weeks, and I have not received a notification. I'd like to apply for the card and have him receive the 2500 pts toward his airline miles. He is the one that introduced the program to me. I'd like to know why I am not receiving anything?
