False Hdd Size Reported
My ASUS X5QS was sold to me with a reported 750Gb HDD (Hard Disk Drive)--as it says on the ASUS sticker.
However, when I click on Microsoft's Window icon, then on the 'Computer' item in the menu it invokes, I am shown (amongst other things) Disk Drives C: and D: (partitions of the physical 750Gb disk) and the amount of space used or free on each.
These are (currently) reported as:
OS (C:) 244 GB free of 293 GBData (D:) 379 GB free of 380 GB
Now, 293 and 380 are, presumably, the capacities of the twopartitions of the HDD (no other partitions are reported) and293+380=673 which is only 89.73% of 750GB.
What happened to the missing 77GB (750-683) ?
