M5a97 R2.0 With A Amd Fx8320,
The unit was working for 2 to 3 years, it started to hang and on reboot the display stopped working. If you swapped the video controller between the PCIe x16 slots the system would come back, The one day it required the system to be off for hours to work, and if you left it on too long it would go black. the one day nothing. I do notice a SINGLE BEEP IF IT IS CONFIGURED WITH OUT THE KEYBOARD.Does the sound indicate the FX chip is good and I have a bad board. any help please.Ray

Ok do some some things
1) Open the cabinet and remove the rams and take a eraser and rub them on the gold plated area where you might notice some black spots.
2) Than remove the cooling unit and pull out the processor and take a soft brush and clean the ports .
3) you have to recable all the system again.
if every thing seems to be right than the problem is solved. If not than you have to take it to the asus care they will take better care of it.
