Current Warranty

My son purchased a G71GX from you, I believe it was less then a year ago. He is stationed in Afghanistan at the current time so we have very little comunication with him. I do have POA over his belonging, the computer has issue where it will not come on and the motherboard possible is the problem per phone conversation with a comp. tech at Best Buys. How do I find out what kind of warranty the computer has. I do have the shipping labels from the box?
