Dishwasher Went Through The Entire Cycle But Now Won't Shut Off.

The dishwasher continues running after the dry cycle. The on/off switch does not work. The control panel shows that it is on pots/pans, but was set for glasses. We flipped the circuit breaker which stops it but as soon as power is on the dishwasher contines the dry cycle.

This could be the anti flood device has operated in the base of the machine. This is a polystyrene disc that is attached to a microswitch. If there is water in the base of the machine this disc floats and turns on the pump.
