Having Trouble With Password On Apple Ipod. I Tried To Change The Password.

I have attempted to change the password on my iPod several times, but even though I receive an email back that the change was successful, the computer will not accept it. The iPod now comes on without asking for the password, but when I try to load a free App it will not accept any of the passwords that I have tried to use & then will say that the password is dissabled. What can I do????
