Is It Worth It?

Thinking of buying a new laptop and got the cash to spend on a mac but is it worth it? I love music and it will strictly be for recording, mixing demos, creating CDs, etc.

Definitely will be worth it. With a Mac laptop, you will not need to worry about viruses, slowness and other things usually linked with other computer brands.

Mac is a definite yes when it comes to creating music, movies or storing your picture files.

Very easy to use, quick and efficient and I know you will definitely love it.

Cheers!

My own experience with several different Powerbooks and now MacBook Pro's allows me to have this insight.  I have never regretted owning an Apple computer ~ it's quality continues to be unsurpassed.  And it's such a pleasure to use day to day.  As a multi-media artist and a radio dj, I continue to relish learning/growing with the wide variety of new and changing horizons.  I'm reviewing music from my vast iTunes library every day.  I'm taking online classes in computer art and technology, have been for several years now, all adding to the joy of using my computer.

At the station, it's all PC's, and while I can utilize the technology there, it's much more complex and technical, and typically a more mundane experience.  Quite the difference.  Helped my neighbor make the switch from PC to Mac awhile back, and he's now proficient at it, all through the challenge of his learning disability.  He's also in the music business.

Also, during my eleven years of ownership, hands down, Apple customer support has consistently been worldclass. If you do get a new Apple computer, in my humble opinion, it's the ONLY warranty worth it's weight in gold.  Three years of continuous customer support.

There's so much to say.  Best wishes to you, whatever you decide.

Mcs are good for this purpose, and they are not attack by common virus like PCs are. so if you like it they are very nice units. I think you should go for it.
