How Do I Get A Refund On A Ticket That I Could Not Use Because Of A Accident

I have Dr. and Hospital back up that I couldn't fly Maritz Travel want me to pay tham for the unused tick what can I do

If you purchased a nonrefundable ticket, it's doubtful that American Airlines will grant you the refund, even with a doctor's note. What they will probably offer you is the ability to use the ticket value towards another trip on American within 1 year from the date the original ticket was issued. There are usually fees to have the ticket changed, but they "may" waive the fee with the doctors's documentation, however they are not obligated to do so.

Your best bet is to contact AA at 1-800-433-7300 and ask them what your options are for the unused ticket.
