Will Aa Allow You To Max Out Your Credit Card And Pay A Small Overage On Debit?

I just got an AA credit card and wanted to book a trip for Christmas. Tickets are around $700 a piece. My credit card has a $1000 limit. Am I able to max the credit card and pay the small overage on a debit card or will I be required to put one ticket on the AA credit card and one full ticket on my debit card? Any help is appreciated!
