Accidental Policy Payout

I have an accident policy with Aflac .Ihave torn my rotator cuff in my right shoulder, and have been told by an aflac rep, that since I did not see the doctor, within 72 hours, that my insurance, will not pay while I am off work. Is this true? I am self employed, and this is really going to put me in a bad situation, as I will be off work approximately 6 weeks.

Hello There, There really arent any representatives of aflac on this site so I would suggest calling aflac and placing a claim regarding the situation at hand. I would also see if you have a local aflac office sometimes its easier to get a direct answer and they seem to be more helpful bc they dont have as many people to deal with on regular basis vs calling the main aflac service #.
