I am trying to find out what the fastest processor available that will work in this model.

The fastest Well, the processor upgrade was a success. I'm now running the I5 2.66GHz with no issues. In first boot, Win7 recognized new hardware and updated the driver for the processor. Upon reboot, system worked fine. CPU-ID lists it correctly and it jumped the processor portion of the "Experience" up to 6.9 from 5.8.
