Acer Aspire 5742 Plugged In, But Not Charging
My Acer Aspire 5742 won't charge while I'm using it. When the computer is turned off, the battery will charge. When I try to charge the computer while It's running, it doesn't give me the "Plugged in, not charging" message.

The common cause of "Plugged In, Not Charging" issue is related to battery memory proble. You can fix this issue by following the steps below.
1. Drain the remaining charge of the battery until emptied
2. Turn off the laptop
3. Plug in the AC adapter/charger of the laptop
4. Do not open or use the device until it is fully charged
5. Use the battery when the laptop is fully charged
