Why Does Aarp Have You Activate Your Card If It Isn't Necessary? How Ignorant Of

them. This is not really a question, it's a statement. I just do not feel like running the gauntlet so to speak to make myself heard. I guess all I can say about AARP and their instructions is...stupid is as stupid does.

I agree--but it's more deviousness than ignorance. The (unnecessary) "activation" serves to promote the business of AARP's "partners," and AARP will get a cut of any fees to them that may result.
