How Do I Activate My Own And My Husbands Aarp Cards?

We received new cards stating "visit aarp.org/activation" which led me to believe I needed to register or something before using them. If I don't need to do anything then do we just put them in our wallets and use like we always have for several years???

There is no need to activate them as they are already activated when you receive them.
