Carefully lift the heat sink off the system board. Release the lever 2 securing the microprocessor 1 then rotate the microprocessor retainer to the 3 fully open position. Note: If you are replacing the system board, place the heat sink on its side on the new system board. 3. Chapter 9. You must later install the heat sink on a clean, flat surface.
