Buying it or not.

After reviewing it demerits and non lasting I decided not to purchased this product

Hamilton Beach 33966

I purchased this Slow Cooker in November 2011. It stopped working in December 2013. The wires inside have short circuited and there is an area of burn around them.
I found the product worked well but since it was lightly used it has failed too early! Since it is guaranteed for only one year there is no customer service.
Ironically I still have the one my parents used that is over 40 years old. It has only minimal features but it works.
