Expensive, fancy, great when it works...
My wife brought home this little goody and of course I put it together being careful. Careful to read all "WARNINGS" and "Don't Do".After a time to charge the battery I put it to use all over our 1,600 ft2 home. Worked great, not really a "rug vac" but we have mostly hard wood floors... used the thing about 5 times and was happy... then after a long time on the charger (a week???) it just simply lights the green light and nothing more...having once been a fairly decent handyman I looked it over and found no apparent reason. I removed the battery and made sure it soundly plugged into the charger...waited a few days and plugged it back into the machine and nothing!!! Looked at the battery contacts...no probs, checked the connections and all is seemingly well...but meinen Dyson ist kaput!!!
I simply find this deplorable for the exorbitant cost of the machine and the hype surrounding the "Animal" or whatever they say!?!?!?
Should you buy it...ABSOLUTELY NOT....go buy a Shark Navigator at Walmart for about half the cost and get three times the machine... maybe even the best we have owned in 40 years of marriage. But the DYSON appears to be a real bomb as the battery is not reliable and the suction is not good for rugs of any real size or nap.
